Woolworths signs two-tournament Rugby World Cup sponsorship deal

World Rugby has announced Woolworths as the Official Supermarket Supporter of Men's Rugby World Cup 2027 and Women's Rugby World Cup 2029, with both tournaments taking place in Australia.

The multi-tournament partnership will see one of Australia and New Zealand's largest supermarket groups use its extensive retail network to bring the excitement of international rugby into local communities.

The agreement offers Woolworths a major platform for consumer engagement across two global sporting events, while supporting World Rugby's ambitions to promote community participation, healthy lifestyles and memorable fan experiences.

The partnership comes as Australia prepares to host the largest-ever Men's Rugby World Cup in 2027, followed by the Women's tournament in 2029.
