White Hart Lane, Seven Sisters and Fulham Broadway stations set for Barclays Women's Super League airwaves takeover

Three of London’s stations will have a Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL) takeover to mark a historic weekend for the top two tiers of women’s football later this week. Across the weekend of November 16 and 17, for the first time, all eleven games across the Barclays WSL and Barclays Women’s Championship will be played in each home side’s respective main stadia. This includes a North London derby between Spurs and Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and a top-of-the-table meeting between Chelsea and Manchester City at Stamford Bridge, both on Saturday 16 November, amongst many other clashes.

And to celebrate the milestone, the Women’s Professional Leagues and Transport for London (TfL) have joined forces to have a number of iconic Barclays WSL players on the overground and underground airwaves.

In the stations closest to the aforementioned grounds – White Hart Lane, Seven Sisters and Fulham Broadway – those traveling to the games will be welcomed into the stations by the voices of some of the league’s biggest names. Bethany England (Tottenham Hotspur), Lotte Wubben-Moy (Arsenal), Lucy Bronze (Chelsea), and Alex Greenwood (Manchester City) have worked with TfL to record special announcements that will play out across the stations in the run up to kick-off at the matches.
