Newcastle United has announced a multi-year partnership with luxury champagne house Taittinger, which becomes the club’s Official Champagne Partner.
Under the agreement, Taittinger will be served across premium hospitality areas at St. James’ Park, including executive boxes, hospitality suites and selected club events. The offering will include Taittinger’s Brut Réserve and Prestige Rosé, alongside Domaine Evremond Classic Cuvée English sparkling wine.
The partnership follows Newcastle United’s £10 million investment in upgrading its hospitality facilities over the summer, reflecting the club’s ambitions to enhance its premium matchday offering.
Taittinger has a long history of association with major sporting and cultural events, including the FIFA World Cup, and the Newcastle agreement extends its presence in football.
Dave O’Connor, Chief Revenue Officer at Newcastle United, said:“Their decision to partner with us is a reflection of the ambition we have as a club and our commitment to consistently raising the bar. We look forward to working together as we set new benchmarks for luxury matchday hospitality at St. James' Park and create exceptional experiences for our fans.”
Mills Easby, Taittinger’s UK Director, welcomed the partnership, describing Newcastle United as an icon of English football and an integral part of the North East.
The agreement highlights the growing commercial importance of premium hospitality within football sponsorship, with brands seeking opportunities to connect with audiences through exclusive matchday experiences.
