Jersey Mike’s enters UK football with EFL Trophy title partnership

American sandwich brand Jersey Mike’s has become the new title sponsor of the EFL Trophy, in a long-term partnership running until the end of the 2030/31 season.

The deal comes as Jersey Mike’s prepares to enter the UK market, with its first restaurant set to open on Argyll Street, close to Oxford Circus in London, later this year.

Founded on the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike’s has grown from a single neighbourhood shop into a major North American brand with more than 3,300 locations across the US and Canada.

The EFL Trophy partnership will give the company a national football platform as it builds its presence in Britain, while also providing opportunities to connect with supporters and local communities. Community involvement has been a longstanding part of the Jersey Mike’s brand, making the EFL Trophy a potentially strong fit as it establishes itself in the UK.

The agreement represents a significant first move into English football for the brand ahead of its consumer launch later this year.
