CUPRA steps up padel presence with LTA partnership

CUPRA has expanded its involvement in padel through a new multi-year partnership with LTA Padel, becoming the Official Automotive Partner of the sport in Great Britain.

The agreement will see CUPRA become title partner of the CUPRA LTA Padel National League, the country’s largest team-based padel competition, as well as supporting the LTA Padel British Tour, LTA Padel National Championships and Great Britain’s national padel teams. CUPRA branding will also appear on the national teams’ kits during international competition.

The deal builds on CUPRA’s involvement in padel since 2019, which includes partnerships with Premier Padel, the International Padel Federation and the CUPRA FIP Tour.

The partnership comes as padel continues its rapid expansion in Britain. According to the LTA, the sport now has one million players, up from just 15,000 in 2019, with 1,825 courts across 551 venues.

Marcus Gossen, Managing Director of SEAT and CUPRA UK, said: “Padel embodies everything CUPRA stands for. It's dynamic, disruptive and fast-growing, which is why we've partnered with LTA Padel to strengthen our position as the leading automotive supporter of padel in the UK and across the world.”
