Sponsorship sales intelligence company caytoo has appointed Rich Wigley to the newly created position of Head of Business Development. Wigley will report directly to founder and CEO Jeremy Thompson. This leadership role comes at a significant time for the firm as it launches a news-based lead generation SaaS platform for partnership sales and insights teams at rights holders. Wigley joins from SponsorUnited where he led international sales across EMEA.
Commenting on the appointment, Jeremy Thompson said: “His strong background in selling sponsorship intelligence platforms and his high profile among rights holders across Europe makes him the ideal choice for this brand-new role, a pivotal one as we launch our platform to rights holders across the world and begin to scale up.”
“I’m delighted to join a company I came up against and heard a lot of good things about, plus it’s fantastic to be able to build on the foundations they’ve created and lead their sales function into their next chapter of growth," said Wigley. "I’m convinced their new AI-based platform will be a game-changer when it comes to helping rights holders generate more conversations with potential sponsors.”
Launched in its current form in 2021, caytoo provides business and sponsorship intelligence to rights holders large and small. Clients have included Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, McLaren Racing, Live Nation, FC Barcelona, the NFL, MLB, Formula E, the DP World Tour, Premiership Women’s Rugby, the NEC, Cricket New South Wales and the National Theatre.
Earlier this year, caytoo was selected for The Culture 100 Awards which recognise and celebrate the 100 greatest companies to work for in the UK in terms of building a progressive, people-first workplace.
