Canterbury of New Zealand signs as official kit partner of Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby

Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby has signed with Canterbury of New Zealand. The four-year partnership will see the rugby brand supply performance and training apparel to both the GB Team and the Women’s teams as value in kind.

The agreement reinforces Canterbury’s ongoing commitment to supporting rugby at every level, from grassroots clubs to the elite game. It also reflects the brand’s mission to unite and strengthen communities through the sport.

GBWR is the national governing body for wheelchair rugby – the only mixed-gender, full chair-contact sport in the Paralympic Games. This announcement comes as the organisation sets its sights on the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympics, aiming to build on a 4th-place finish at Paris 2024 and kick off a new chapter under a new coaching and leadership team.

The GB team will compete at the European Championship from 22–27 April, marking the official debut of the new Canterbury kit. This tournament represents a key milestone on the road to the LA 2028 and the start of an exciting new era for the partnership.
