Endurance brand Maxifuel is to become the official sports nutrition partner to the UK’s biggest cycling event, The Tour of Britain, which also includes The Halfords Tour Series and The Tour Rides.
The company will provide amateur riders with tailored nutritional support to complement their lifestyle, training and racing schedules as well as support professional participants and race enthusiasts through sampling opportunities at the various events.
The Tour of Britain, taking place from 9-16 September, is the country’s largest free-to-spectate live sporting event attracting over a million spectators to the roadside annually, while over 10,000 amateur cyclists take part in the mass participation Tour Rides based on Tour of Britain stage routes.
The Halfords Tour Series is a city centre cycling race series, taking place throughout May and June.

Endurance brand Maxifuel has signed to become the official sports nutrition partner to professional cycling team, UK Youth Pro Cycling. The team is owned and sponsored by Formula 1 World Champion Nigel Mansell CBE and headed up by Paris-
Roubaix winner and Tour de France Stage Winner Magnus Backstedt.

This month five wounded service men are attempting to break three world records to raise money for Rifles charity, Care for Casualties. With the support of endurance sport nutrition brand, Maxifuel, the five amputees hope to climb to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in just five days and set a new world record for the most people on crutches to ascend Kilimanjaro together, the fastest ascent of Kilimanjaro on crutches and the most number of ascents by one person on crutches of Kilimanjaro

Maxifuel has signed a two-year deal to become the official sports nutrition supplier to Badminton England and the Team England badminton squad.The Hemel Hempstead-based company, which is part of Maxinutrition group, will provide each player with nutritional support in the build-up to the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Maxifuel also supports GB & England Hockey, the British Triathlon Federation and GB athletes including Stuart Hayes (Triathlon) Kate Dennison (pole vault), Chris Walker-Hebborn (swimming) and Andrew Steele (400m).

Maxifuel, specialist endurance brand, has renewed its partnership with England Hockey. The England Hockey women’s team enjoyed their most successful year in its history by claiming a trio of bronze medals at last year’s World Cup, Champions Trophy, and Commonwealth Games in Delhi. The World Cup and Champions Trophy medals were their first-ever.

The England Hockey men’s team had success in 2010 after winning the silver medal in the Champions Trophy in Germany and reaching the semi-final of the World Cup for the first time since 1986.
