IMG Sports Media To Represent World Snowboarding Championships

IMG Sports Media, a division of global sports and media company IMG Worldwide, has been appointed to represent the World Snowboarding Championships (WSC).

The agreement will see IMG Media handle all international media and sponsor agreements for the 2012 World Snowboarding Championships, to be held in Oslo. IMG Media will work in partnership with WSC to distribute the championships to broadcasters across the world and to conclude deals with the leading brands in Snowboarding. The Municipality of Oslo has secured the event by providing a financial guarantee.

The World Snowboarding Championships is the pinnacle event of the TTR Snowboarding World Tour (TTR) and the World Snowboard Federation (WSF). Ticket to Ride (TTR) is the world’s largest collaboration of independent freestyle snowboard events working together to create a global rookie-to-professional tour. The riders start qualifying in January when the TTR World Tour takes off with the six star Burton European Open competition in Laax, Switzerland.

IMG To Represent SPL Archives

IMG Sports Media, a division of IMG Worldwide, has been appointed by the Scottish Premier League (SPL) to represent over 10,000 hours of archive content from Scottish Premier League matches dating back to 1998.
The deal, which starts at the beginning of the 2010/2011 season and lasts for three years, includes the rights for both long-form and clip footage, excluding coverage from the current season.
Richard Wise, Senior Vice President, Programme Sales, IMG Media said: “IMG is delighted to have been appointed the first archive partner for the Scottish Premier League. We hope that our experience, expertise and innovation in this area will help increase the exposure of these memorable and exciting matches.”
Neil Doncaster, Chief Executive, Scottish Premier League said: “Fans will now be able to see more classic moments from the last 12 years of the SPL thanks to our partnership with IMG.”
IMG Sports Media also represents over 50,000 hours of match footage, programming and interviews for many other professional leagues around the world including; the Eredivisie, the SFL, the Football League, the Russian Premier League and the Premier League.  Last year IMG Sports Media brokered a deal with iTunes to make Premier League programming the first football content available to download through iTunes in the UK.
