Bodog Signs With West Bromwich Albion

Thursday, June 30th, 2011

West Bromwich Albion unveiled Bodog, one of the world’s largest online gaming brands, as its new official club sponsor for the next two seasons earlier this week.
Bodog Europe, the official licensee of the Bodog brand for online gaming in Europe, will officially become club sponsors from July 1 and will have additional high-profile branding at The Hawthorns. The gaming brand will also become the club’s official betting partner.
Patrik Selin, CEO of Bodog Europe, said: “In choosing a sponsorship partner we were looking for a club with a genuine team spirit and we are delighted to have found that in West Bromwich Albion.  In the social media era a sponsorship should be about backing the investment with a return commitment to the club and the fans and we are looking forward to working closely with all parties.”

Bodog Brand in Ayr United Shirt Deal

Thursday, May 12th, 2011

Calvin Ayre, founder of online betting brand, Bodog, has signed his company up as shirt sponsor of Ayr United.  Commenting on the deal, Ayre stated: “I won’t pretend I know the area well but with a fondness for a drink and in particular Cabrach and Hendrick’s Gin, barely a day goes by without me toasting the local economy in some way. When I heard about this I just couldn’t resist and I hope that between the Bodog brand and myself we can bring some more good times to Ayr United. We have plans to really get behind the team, not just hand over a cheque, and I am looking forward to paying a visit this summer and raising a glass to The Honest Men.”
Hugh Cameron, Commercial Director Ayr United, added: “”It’s great news for everyone connected with Ayr United to have attracted a global brand like Bodog to our club and to the Scottish football league. The substantial financial agreement we secured was, of course, very welcome but we were also aware from our negotiations with the company that we were signing an agreement with a business that has people with a real desire and intention to engage with the club, our supporters and the wider community, and I’m sure in time this will become apparent.”
