Hollis Sponsorship Bulletin

A PR story was born when Paddy Power this week announced its sponsorship of Kwame Nkrumah-Acheampong, the first Ghanaian to qualify for the Winter Olympics.  Kwame, known as the Snow Leopard, first skied just over six years ago when he got a job as a receptionist at a snow centre in the UK.  Paddy Power has him at 500/1 to win.

Kwame is set to take on both the slalom and the giant slalom at the Vancouver Winter Games starting on February 12^th. The deal was brokered by sport agency Fuse.

Paddy Power is quoted as saying: “We love the underdog at Paddy Power and believe he will be the big story of the Winter Olympics.  We are putting all our weight behind Kwame and we are not only giving him financial support, we also want to create a huge following through the media and social networking.”
