SMG Insight’s SportsIndex 2017 Annual Report Launched - Which Events Achieved The Greatest Buzz?

SMG Insight has released its SportsIndex 2017 Annual Report, the fourth in a series of annual reports comparing the UK public’s perception of 60 leading domestic and international sports events. Covering 17 sports sectors simultaneously, SportsIndex measures all 60 events across a range of 16 metrics on a daily basis, including buzz, impression, quality, reputation, brand awareness and consideration.

SMG Insight’s report ranks events by buzz score – the net difference between the amount of positive news and negative news heard by respondents about an event during a 12 month period. In-depth analysis and year-on-year comparisons provide a detailed picture of where the 60 events sit in the current sporting landscape, whilst the ‘Summary by Sport’ section examines results by sporting category.
